A Delicious Seafood Bisque Recipe For Your
Baby Shower Brunch Or Lunch Menu!
A Super-Duper Easy Seafood Bisque Recipe that tastes like it was made
at a gourmet restaurant! Perfect for a Brunch or Afternoon lunch baby shower.
- 1 pound seafood (shrimp, lobster and crab)
- 2 cans cream of shrimp soup (can substitute with cream of celery soup)
- 2 cans cream of potato soup OR cream of cheese soup
- ½ stick sweet butter
- ½ pint heavy cream
- 1 quart half and half (can substitute with fat free half and half)
- Cream Sherry
Sauté the seafood in butter for two to three minutes. Add 1 ounce Cream Sherry and sauté for 1 additional minute. Add each can of the soups (non-diluted). Add the cream and the half and half slowly while stirring. Add a couple of dashes Tabasco (more or less to your taste). Heat very slowly. Do Not Boil. Serve with oyster crackers and side of Cream Sherry.
Tip: We use Campbell’s soups, but feel free to try another brand too.
This soup looks awesome served in scallop shell shaped bowls. You can also use real scallop shells, just make sure to clean thoroughly before using.
For a sit down baby shower brunch, or lunch, provide the sides of Cream Sherry in individual mini pitchers, or mini "gravy boats". This adds an elegant touch to a more formal place setting.
Besides using as a main dish for your brunch or lunch baby shower food menu, it also can be excellent as an appetizer soup for a sit down dinner ... or even a side dish for an informal soup and finger sandwiches casual baby shower get-together!
