Sauerkraut Relish Recipe
Our sauerkraut relish recipe is divine! What a delicious addition to compliment any hamburger, hot dog, or even German bratwursts and metts. Your guests will love it!Ingredients:- 1 32-ounce can of sauerkraut
- 1 cup celery chopped fine
- 1 cup green bell pepper chopped
- 1 small red bell pepper or pimento chopped
- 1 cup onion chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- ˝ cup apple cider vinegar
- ˝ cup salad oil (vegetable or canola)
Heat oil, vinegar and sugar until sugar dissolves. Stir in rest of ingredients. Cover tightly and chill overnight. Serve on hamburgers, hot dogs or your favorite sandwich. Tip: You can also use the sauerkraut sold in the dairy case packaged in the bag or jar.
